I remember before when I was in the University, some 12 to 15 years ago, I had a classmate-friend who called me “Nightmare.” She called me Nightmare because I was so skinny. And I wore eyeglasses. She was one of the few people who can easily get into my nerves and we always fight. But despite that, we belong to the same circle of friends and defended each other from other people. Nobody can mess with us friends, but we can mess with each other. And “we” mess with each other A LOT!
One time while we were fighting, she just started screaming: “Nightmare! Nightmare!” I was so surprised and even asked her why she called me that. Then she blurted out and said “You are so thin! You look like Nightmare Before Christmas. The movie!”
From that time on, fight or not, she called me “Nightmare.” I think she also called me this because I was the only nightmare, or rather, friend, in the group who answers (or reacts) to her being so stubborn. I don’t remember anymore if I liked it or not, or if it mattered at all that time. I have a feeling, though, it did. And I have a feeling I also did not like it. I think I even said once to her that she has to be careful because “I am the Nightmare who will ruin your Christmas!”
It was showing on TV the other night.
I think I saw two important characters in the film: the one who looks completely like a skeleton and a man; the other a girl.
Now I am wondering which one I was.
I think the main cast. 🙂
And no, it doesn’t bother me at all.
I never watched the movie.
